NFL players and coaches have long had access to a beard club to make sure they don’t have to shave their heads or get their hair cut.

Now it appears those players and teams can get more of a cut with the addition of Beard Club, a new app that allows players and the general public to meet each other in person.

NFL Players Alliance President Michael Signora said in a statement Wednesday that Beard Club has grown to become the go-to app for all players.

The app, which launched today, lets players connect via Facebook and Twitter.

Beard Club will allow players to connect to each other via phone, text and email, according to the company.

“We’re excited to be able to make Beard Club a part of the NFL experience,” Signora told reporters.

Beard Clubs first hit the market in March of this year, and the app was released on Apple devices, Google Android and Windows Phone devices.

It has been downloaded more than 200,000 times and has a user base of more than 10 million people, according the company’s website.

“It’s become a must-have app for players to meet other players and get together to talk about sports and what’s going on,” Signoria said.

“As Beard Club expands in the coming months, we’ll be rolling out the app to all our fans.”

Beard Club is now available for both iOS and Android devices.
